U's fan Greig joins the Board
Oxford United today announces a new senior management appointment.Greig Box Turnbull, 41, has been appointed as Managing Director of the Club and will be responsible for all day to day business, commercial and administrative operations including oversight of the Community Trust. He will join the Board of OUFC and will also become a Trustee of the Oxford United Community Trust.
Darryl Eales, Executive Chairman, said: “My objective has always been to bring the football club together and establish a structure which facilitates a one team culture across the entire organisation. I believe the appointment of Greig is an important step in achieving this. Greig is a highly capable and skilled executive who will bring experience, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic allied to a commitment and desire to ensure the club pursues excellence on all fronts.”
Greig, who will join United full time in April, is an experienced business operations and communications director. He joins from communications and business development consultancy, Dragon, where he is a Managing Partner. He was previously a national journalist and worked on titles including the Daily Mirror.
Greig said: "I’m extremely proud to be joining Oxford United and look forward to leading our great club and building on the excellent progress and momentum Darryl has instilled.
