Get a great view of the new season
The final day of season ticket renewals saw sales smash the 4,000 barrier, the club can confirm.
And United look on track to set a Kassam Stadium record for season ticket sales, as U’s supporters back the club in fantastic numbers, for the first campaign in League 1 since 2001.
In a further ticketing boost, the club can confirm that block 25 of the North Stand will be released for supporters to purchase season tickets for the first time, enabling fans to take up positions close to the halfway line.
Supporters who have purchased season tickets but wish to relocate and fans who have not renewed, will have a week to buy in Block 25, before the remaining seats go on general sale.
The away end will be limited to just under 1,500 in the North Stand – to help ensure the stadium is a sea of yellow and blue to cheer on the team.
The club continues to hold very positive talks with all relevant parties concerning a temporary fourth stand, but while these are ongoing have decided to release more seats in the North Stand.
This meets EFL regulations, but the FA has different rules regarding the number of away fans. Therefore, fans buying season tickets in this area are asked to bear in mind that it will not guarantee their usual seat for big FA Cup games and in these cases they will be offered a seat in a different area.
Managing Director, Greig Box Turnbull, said: “Releasing the block close to the half-way line in the North Stand has been an ambition of the club for some time, as it is widely acknowledged that the seats provide one of the best views in the stadium.
“It’s something a lot of North Standers have been waiting for, so we’re delighted to be able to meet the demand.
“The players have often commented that they prefer seeing United fans on the half-way line when they come out of the tunnel and so this move will help make the stadium a fortress this season.
“We are making progress on the temporary 4th stand and remain hopeful of a positive outcome.”
Seats in the middle of the North Stand offer a great view of all the action and are available as follows:
