Loan moves for United duo
Two of Oxford United’s promising young players are to go out on a month’s loan.
Striker James Roberts will travel up to Chester tonight to complete the paperwork on a month’s youth loan before training with them tomorrow in preparation for their game against local rivals Wrexham at the weekend.
Meanwhile the versatile Aidan Hawtin is to join Brackley Town on a month’s youth loan. Oxford United have recall options within both loans.
Head Coach Michael Appleton said:
“They are both at the stage in their career where they need to push themselves and be playing games regularly. They both have positive attitudes and we think these moves will help their development.
“The same with Max Crocombe and Josh Ashby who are also out on loan at the moment. It is all about playing competitive matches week in week out.”
