Business of the Week looks at long time United fans Oxford & District Building Services
As part of Oxford United’s new business club, United in Business, the first founding members have the opportunity to present their businesses to the United fans. This week’s focus business takes a look at Oxford & District Building Services.
Oxford & District Building Services are a local, family business established in Oxford in 1976. Involved in major projects across Oxfordshire, Oxford & District Building Services has major expertise and years of experience in the completion of highways maintenance and civil engineering schemes. You will have noticed a great deal of projects Oxford & District Building Services has been involved in around the city and their portfolio of work includes Bodleian Library, Rawlinson Road improvement scheme and flood relief works at Redbridge Park & Ride. Oxford & District Building Services were nationally praised for their work with the flood relief works.
Oxford & District Building Services Managing Director Mick Butler have been involved with Oxford United through thick and thin for a number of years. Mick and his wife Linda are big United fans and they occupy a hospitality box where they enjoy watching the yellows every week. Business Development Manager Peter Rhoades-Brown praised Oxford & District Building Services involvement with the club
“I have known Mick and Linda for many years and Mick has given a great deal to the club including involvement at our charity golf days, club auctions and match day sponsorships. This all goes back into the club and on to the playing field.” Wife Linda is a huge Alfie Potter fan and will always remember the 2010 Conference final at Wembley. Peter Rhoades-Brown continued “if you enter their hospitality box, all you will see is photos of Linda and Alfie!”
