Full preview as Oxford United welcome AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League 2
United welcome AFC Wimbledon to the Kassam Stadium tomorrow (3pm) in Sky Bet League 2. Here we present a full guide to the game.
Team News
United will be without Michael Raynes after he suffered a side injury at Exeter, while skipper Jake Wright will be absent for the next month with a deep cut to his knee. There are doubts over Dave Kitson and Ryan Williams while Matt Bevans stands by for his home league debut after doing well as a sub for Raynes at Exeter in midweek.
See Mickey Lewis previewing the game in Yellow Player right now where we also have a great Preview Show featuring Ryan Clarke and James Constable.
The Opposition
Manager Neal Ardley is well aware that United have won each of the seven previous meetings against the Dons:
“We are aware that Oxford have a bit of a record against us, but we have to try and put that out of our minds. There’s no pressure on us and we have to go out there and do everything that this league demands.
“Oxford’s away form is outstanding, but their home form is a little bit patchy. However, it will be a tough game. We just to have to ensure our performance levels are high. We don’t want to go there and disappoint. We need to go there on a high and with a strong mindset that we can pick up the points.”
