Youngsters look to end Season on Top

Under 18s head for Bristol Rovers in end of season showdown

United’s under 18s have a big weekend ahead of them as they look to win the league title.

Chris Allen’s under 18 side travel to Bristol Rovers on Saturday morning knowing that a point in their final game of the season would be enough to see them crowned Champions of the Football League Youth Alliance South West Division.

For the second season in a row United and Rovers will go head to head- Rovers need to win on Saturday and then win both of their remaining games to finish above United while defeat for the U’s would also give Exeter City an outside  chance at the title.

Chris told us:

“It is an exciting way to end the season again and the lads are really looking forward to it. Rovers are a good team and it will be a tough game but that’s what you want and where you see the character of the lads.

“We had a decent cup run and enjoyed that but it would be nice to cap things off with a win in the final game.”

The U’s welcome  top scorer James Roberts back into the squad after flu.
