Under 18's 4 Plymouth 2
United’s under 18 side continued their excellent season with a 4-2 win over Plymouth Argyle at Oxford Sports and Social Club on Saturday.
Chris Allen’s side maintained their title challenge thanks to goals from Josh Ashby, Muctar Conte, Adriel George and top scorer James Roberts.
With Callum O’Dowda on first team duty and skipper Sam Long playing the first 75 minutes then heading for the Kassam Stadium to join O’Dowda on the bench against Wycombe, United gave some of their very promising under 16s a chance to shine, as well as one or two trialists.
The win, United’s 13th in a row in the league, sets up a potential title decider tomorrow as the U’s head for Bristol Rovers in the Football League Youth Alliance South West Division.
