Oxford United's U16's RTC are through to the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup after beating Everton on Saturday
The U's won through on penalties after the game ended 1-1 after full time, with a goal from Carly Johns for the home side, before Oxford came out on top 4-3 in the shoot out to reach the semi-final.
That was an excellent achievement for the young yellows - the furthest the club have progressed in the Girls FA Youth Cup.
Head Coach Vlad Cintic told us
"Saturday marks an outstanding moment for us as an RTC. To be inthe last four of the FA Youth Cup with such high company is flattering and rewarding for some of our players who have gone through tough seasons but always remained loyal to the badge.
"This year the U16's are a very special group of players who have worked their socks off to get to this point. They're not only skilled footballers but wonderful young girls as well and I'm sure they will have a bright future in the game. Myself and Sahara Osborne-Ricketts couldn't be prouder and we can't wait to see what comes next.
"I'd like to say thank you to all the parents and fans who came down to support on Saturday and created a fantastic atmosphere."
United will take on the winners of Leicester City vs Arsenal in the semi final which will take place on Saturday 9th March at Oxford Brookes University - Harcourt Hill Campus.
