Women Lose At Cardiff

A youthful Oxford United Women's team was beaten 1-0 at Cardiff on Sunday in the National League.

After two wins in a row the team was hit by injuries and with key players unavailable did well but couldn’t find a way to goal, despite hitting the bar twice, before losing to just a single goal.

Manager Liam Gilbert told us

“It was a really disappointing way to end the year but we as players out and I couldn't ask for much more from those who played. There was no shortage of effort and we have done well in the first half of the season so now we have to rest up, get ready and start strongly in January.”
