Oxford United Women eased into the second round of the WFA Cup on Sunday thanks to a 5-0 win over fourth-tier side Actonians.

United stormed into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to goals from Jenna Legg, Sarah King and Phoebie Poole. In the second half a double from Lucy Trinder sealed the result and put Oxford into the hat for the second round draw.

The opening goal arrived in the 15th minute, as Legg received the ball out wide, strode down the wing, cut inside and unleashed a shot that beat the visiting keeper.

Just three minutes later, a trademark Kate Wiseman free-kick beat the wall but came crashing back off the crossbar, but in the 24th minute United did double their lead as King smashed home a shot from the edge of the area.

Oxford made it 3-0 in the 39th minute, thanks to good work on the right from Adele Lindbaek. She skipped over two challenges before picking out Poole, who timed her run into the area perfectly to put the U's firmly in the driving seat.

The second half belonged to Trinder who opened her account on the hour, charging down the wing and into the area to slot the ball home and give United an unassailable lead. Then, with two minutes remaining, she was placed perfectly in the six-yard box to complete the scoring and send the U's into the second round.
