Oxford United's mental health and suicide prevention campaign, Can We Talk? will continue this month, with the Club's first-ever mental health workshop taking place.
In partnership with Oxfordshire Mind and the Joey Beauchamp Foundation, the workshop will take place at the Kassam Stadium on the evening of Monday 11 November from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
On average, someone in England takes their own life every 90 minutes. That’s why Oxford United is asking the question, Can We Talk? as we look to use our voice to make a difference in our community and beyond.
To make this happen, we encourage as many supporters and non-supporters to come to the Kassam on Monday 11 November and make this the biggest club-led mental health workshop in the country.
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
Following on from the release of our campaign video on World Mental Health Day, Men's Team player Will Vaulks will join Luke Beauchamp, the brother of Club legend Joey, and a number of mental health experts from Oxfordshire Mind at our empowering evening.
The event will be hosted by Oxfordshire Mind to bring supporters and non-supporters together to learn simple steps on how to help your own mental health, with information and advice available on how and where to find advice.
As part of the night, Will Vaulks, Luke Beauchamp and Oxfordshire Mind’s CEO will also hold a conversation panel, as these inspirational voices talk about their own experiences and how they manage their own mental health.
There will also be an uplifting opportunity for guests to come together through powerful group discussions, where Oxfordshire Mind staff will facilitate breakout tables of conversations.
Let's come together as one and say, We Can Talk.
To better understand attendance numbers, we ask everyone looking to attend to register their interest HERE.
