Oxford United U18s welcome Bristol Rovers to the Bangkok Glass Training Centre this Saturday as they look to continue their winning streak in the league.
The young U’s have been flying in the league recently, with their last defeat coming all the way back in early November. A key to their recent success has been their prolific goal scoring form, with 21 goals in just five league games this year.
The schedule has been tough for the side, as players have also featured in other competitions, such as the U17-PDL Cup and the Youth Alliance Cup, but it’s clear that the focus is on the league. The U’s currently sit just one point below league leaders Luton Town and have Gillingham on their tails in third, five points behind with a game in hand.
The Pirates haven’t quite had the same success recently, with their last league win coming in late November. They have dropped to 18th in the league with just two wins all season.
The sides have met already this season, with the Yellows coming out on top in a 3-1 win. It was a comfortable three points for United and they will be looking to repeat the same this weekend.
The game kicks off at 11:00am and admission is free.
