PREVIEW: Oxford United vs Bristol City

Bristol City

Oxford United welcome Bristol City to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday (12:30pm kick off) looking to extend their 100 per cent home record under Gary Rowett.

The Robins won 2-1 at Ashton Gate earlier in the season, despite Rúben Rodrigues giving Oxford the lead. This is City's first visit to the Kassam Stadium and their first trip to Oxford since September 2000.

OXFORD UNITED

The U's are unbeaten in their last eight Championship fixtures and will be full of confidence going into Saturday's game.

Centre backs Elliott Moore and Ben Nelson remain unavailable through injury, while midfielder Louie Sibley has joined Rotherham United on loan.

BRISTOL CITY

Former United head coach Liam Manning brings a Robins squad that includes ex-Oxford players Rob Dickie, Luke McNally, Mark Sykes and Marcus McGuane but which has not won any of their previous seven away games.

City are currently eighth in the Championship, five points above Oxford and just three points adrift of the play-off places.

"Obviously I spent a period of time there and I had some good memories," Manning told BBC Radio Bristol when asked about facing Oxford.

"I'm all-in here and look forward to taking this group of players there to try and win.

"I'll see some familiar faces, some of the people I worked with there and some of the players, but football moves on quite quickly.

"Gary [Rowett] has gone in there and done a really good job and in the eight games he's had, you've only got to look at their form and how they're performing to show they're in a good spot.

"That's a good challenge for us to go there and hit the level we're capable of."

TICKETS AND TRAVEL

There are only a few tickets remaining for Saturday's game, so make sure you get yours by visiting oufctickets.co.uk, phoning the ticket office on 01865 337533 or visiting in person.

There are 2,000 free parking spaces at the stadium, but they do tend to fill up quickly, so please try to arrive early if you intend to park there. There are also marked parking bays along Grenoble Road to the east of the ground. Do not park on the grass verges or in the restricted areas in the nearby residential streets.

The gate behind the Planet IT North Stand will be closed before and after the game, meaning no pedestrian access between the east and west car parks via that route.
