Oxford United are pleased to confirm the appointment of Cycas Hospitality, Europe’s leading independent hotel management company, to operate the Radisson branded hotel within the Club’s proposed new stadium development.
Cycas Hospitality manages a growing portfolio of more than 55 global branded hotels across 13 countries including Radisson hotels in Amsterdam and Zurich. The company specialises in delivering an outstanding guest experience and excels in hotel management and operations.
The agreement with Cycas Hospitality follows on from the Club’s recently announced partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. The 180-room hotel will offer guests a thoroughly modern design with Radisson’s signature Scandinavian influence. The hotel will comprise standard, family rooms and suites alongside several convertible rooms and suites, offering flexible configuration between bedrooms and meetings/hospitality space to meet the needs of the business across matchdays and corporate peak periods. Guests can also enjoy all-day dining options in the open lobby bar, bistro café and restaurant.
Adam Benson, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer at Oxford United, said: “We’re committed to building an exceptional stadium complex and working with world-class partners will ensure we deliver against that.
“This agreement is part of an ambitious commercial plan we have for the project, one that will allow us to deliver significant benefits to the Club and the wider community.
“We’re delighted to be working with Cycas who will ensure everyone who stays at the new Radisson Hotel receives a first-class experience in keeping with the values of Oxford United and the new stadium.”
Jonathon Clarke, Development Director at Oxford United, added: “Our vision is to deliver a world-class Oxfordshire landmark that everyone can be proud of and this partnership, in conjunction with Radisson, demonstrates the standards we will set.
“Cycas has an excellent track record of providing outstanding guest experiences and service levels, and of operating hotels to the highest of standards. We look forward to working with them.”
Craig Patterson, Chief Development Officer of Cycas Hospitality, commented: “Myself and the team are incredibly pleased to start 2025 by sharing the latest step in our company’s development. Continuing our growth with our partners at Oxford United and Radisson Hotel Group to open this hotel within a thoroughly modern, purpose-built sporting centre and community landmark is just one of our exciting updates for the year ahead, and we can’t wait to open the doors of the hotel and stadium to the local community.”
