OUTV: Your new home of video and audio streaming

Camera at Kassam

Oxford United can confirm that OUTV will be your new home for live video and audio streaming for the 2024/25 season.

Following the launch of the Club’s new website, oufc.co.uk, the previous EFL iFollow service has now been replaced by OUTV.

OUTV will be the place for supporters living outside of the UK & Ireland to watch Oxford United Men’s First Team games LIVE. This service will be available to buy on Friday ahead of the first game of the season at home against Norwich City on Saturday.

Due to a new five-year domestic rights deal between the EFL and Sky Sports, video streaming of matches will not be permitted on OUTV in the UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey and the Republic of Ireland. All matches will still be available to follow with live audio commentary courtesy of BBC Radio Oxford.

Packages are offered on a monthly or seasonal basis, with individual match passes also available to purchase on a game-by-game basis.

Selected games by Sky Sports will not be broadcast internationally for live video streaming, with live audio still available.

We will continue to monitor and assess additional services for OUTV, with Oxford United content still available on all social media channels.

Supporters will be able to purchase a subscription on Friday, by visiting our website HERE

OUTV International Subscriptions

Oxford United fans living outside of the UK & Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey can purchase an international subscription to OUTV, the club’s dedicated streaming and video-on-demand service.

Packages are available on a monthly or seasonal subscription. Prices for the month are just £25, with the season pass costing just £180.

International subscriptions to OUTV enable supporters to watch Oxford United’s 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship games live. OUTV International does NOT include matches in any cup competitions. Please also note that some games will be restricted to audio-only commentary due to the selection for live TV Broadcast. OUTV will be able to continue international streaming services direct to fans overseas where matches are not being broadcast exclusively.

In total, there are 37 Saturday 3pm Sky Bet Championship matches that are exclusive to International Broadcast and therefore will not be able to be streamed in markets where they are shown.

Also, 16 Sky ‘main’ channel matches (midweek fixtures) are available to stream in some non-core markets.

For supporters within the USA, a new TV deal has been stuck with the EFL and CBS Sports. This will see a minimum of 155 Championship matches aired, as well as Play-Off matches, and a minimum of 30 Carabao Cup fixtures. Any game shown exclusively on this network will NOT be shown on OUTV, with live audio commentary available.

Single video passes for eligible games are priced at £10 for international supporters.

OUTV UK Subscriptions

Supporters can sign up to OUTV for an audio-only subscription of all Oxford United Sky Bet Championship fixtures.

Monthly passes cost £4.50, or you can sign up for the season for £45. Please note, due to the new TV deal with Sky Sports and the EFL, NO Oxford United fixtures will be live-streamed via video on the OUTV platform. Full-match replays will still be available.

Single audio passes are priced at £2.50 for both international and UK & Ireland-based supporters.

FAQS

WHAT DOES OUTV OFFER?

From the 2024/25 season, Oxford United have moved from iFollow to the OUTV platform. There will be changes to the availability of streaming matches due to the new broadcast.

Supporters in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey & Ireland: No games will be available to watch live on the OUTV platform. Sky Sports + will allow supporters to watch games selected for live coverage, with those not on the platform sitting behind the 3pm blackout. Supporters can purchase game-by-game, monthly, and seasonal passes for audio commentary.

Supporters overseas: Games will still be streamed live on video via the OUTV platform if not selected for live broadcast in your country. Supporters can purchase game-by-game, monthly, and seasonal passes for video streaming of selected matches and audio commentary of all games.

HOW MUCH DOES OUTV COST?

The following is a breakdown of the subscription packages and their costs:

International:

-            Seasonal Pass: £180

-            Monthly Pass: £25

-            One Game Pass: £10

UK & Ireland:

-            Seasonal Pass: £45

-            Monthly Pass: £4.50

-            One Game Pass (Audio only): £2.50

DOES THIS MEAN I NEED A NEW ACCOUNT AND HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE?

As Oxford United are no longer associated with iFollow, you will need to sign up for a new account via our new website. You can do that here: https://www.oufc.co.uk/outv-video-packages. You can only subscribe to your new package here.

WILL MY SUBSCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW?

Seasonal subscriptions will not automatically renew and will expire on the date stated when you sign up. Monthly passes will automatically renew unless cancelled. Individual game packages will expire after the purchased game as they are one-off payments.

WHAT GAMES CAN I WATCH:

International fans: You can watch live EFL games if you are outside of the UK & Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man unless games are selected by international broadcasters. If a match is selected for international broadcast, it will only be available in areas without a broadcast agreement.

UK fans: Due to the new Sky Sports deal with the EFL, live video streaming is no longer available. However, audio commentary is available worldwide for all fixtures, including the Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup.

HOW TO WATCH OR LISTEN TO GAMES?

Log in to your account and purchase your match pass or subscription from our Subscriptions page on OUTV. Once purchased, head to our Live page and select the Watch Now or Listen Now button.

Subtitled feeds are also available and please note that audio-only coverage may not become available until closer to kick-off.

WILL I NEED A SUBSCRIPTION FOR ALL CLUB CONTENT?

No. OUTV will still provide a free video service for all exclusive content, highlights and interviews. This content will also be available on the Club’s social media accounts.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS CAN I USE TO BUY A PASS/SUBSCRIPTION?

The following payment methods can be used to purchase a pass/subscription:

-            Google Pay

-            Apple Pay

-            Visa

-            Mastercard

-            American Express

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTION?

Fans will see an increased camera setup at the Kassam in the 2024/25 season, moving to a six-camera coverage, up from four last season.

WILL LIVE AUDIO COMMENTARY BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL GAMES?

Every Oxford United Sky Bet Championship fixture will be available to listen to on live audio commentary from the team at BBC Radio Oxford no matter your location. For those outside of Oxfordshire, this will be the only way you can listen to Oxford United fixtures.

HOW CAN FANS STREAM SELECTED BROADCASTED FIXTURES IN THE UK?

Matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports channels or the new Sky Sports+ platform. This will see up to 100 live events streamed at once. Non-Sky subscribers can purchase a NOW Sports Day or Month Membership to access the Sky Sports+ streams and on-demand content.

WHAT HAPPENS IF NO GAMES ARE SHOWN IN MY SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD?

If you are on a monthly package, it is an accepted risk that some months will have more live fixtures than others, so no refund will be given in those cases. While we realise this will be frustrating, we do not increase costs in months that have lots of games and this is an accepted risk.

DOES THIS NEW DEAL INCLUDE CARABAO CUP?

All Carabao Cup fixtures will be shown live on Sky Sports channels.

WILL FA CUP FIXTURES BE LIVESTREAMED?

No, the Club cannot provide live video streaming of FA Cup games in any country.

WHEN WILL NOTICE BE GIVEN FOR GAMES BEING MOVED FOR BROADCAST?

The new deal commits to providing longer notice periods for when games will be moved for TV selections. The notice periods are as follows:

Selections for all matches up until the FA Cup third round (January 2025) have been made.

By November 1, selections for matches to be played between the end of the third round of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March will be made.

Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in Match will be made on a four-week rolling basis starting from February 1.

WHY ARE ALL GAMES AVAILABLE IN ‘DARK MARKET’ REGIONS BUT NOT TO ALL INTERNATIONAL FANS?

Again, this is due to EFL broadcast regulations.

There are countries that at this time do not have any broadcasting rights agreed with the EFL. The EFL regard these as 'Dark Markets'. Therefore, if you live in one of the countries below and purchase our seasonal international pass, you can currently watch ALL of Oxford United's Championship clashes on our live stream.

Please note that this list can change at any time, but currently, the ‘Dark Market’ countries are: Afghanistan, Albania, American Samoa, Bangladesh, Belize, Bermuda, Bhutan,  British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Christmas Island, Cocos Islands, Cook Islands, Cuba, Cyprus, East Timor, Faroe Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Gibraltar,  Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Kiribati, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Netherlands,  New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk Islands, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Pitcairn Islands, Puerto Rico, Romania, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Sri Lanka, St Helena, Ascension & Tristan da Cunha, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Taiwan, Thailand, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Ukraine, US Virgin Islands, Vanuatu.

However, other international regions do have broadcasting agreements in place with the EFL and, should the EFL’s respective broadcast partners in those areas select a game for live TV coverage then we are unable to make our live stream for that fixture in that region. It is the same principle as that in the UK and Ireland where games selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports – the EFL’s domestic broadcast rightsholder – are not allowed to be streamed to domestic audiences under the terms of the agreement between the EFL and Sky Sports.
