Mark Harris's outstanding form for the month of April has seen the Oxford United forward awarded with the Sky Bet EFL Player of the Month award.
In the month in which United secured their place in the play-off semi-finals, Harris was in inspired form, scoring six goals and grabbing an assist over the month's six games.
Harris found form right at the perfect time for the U's, scoring five times in the first three games which brought two huge 4-0 victories and one 5-0 win over Saturday's opponents Peterborough United.
Then, in the final game of the season where United needed three points to try and secure a play-off spot, Harris grabbed the opener in emphatic style in a 2-1 win over Exeter.
His form helped Oxford to four wins and one draw in six games, as he also took his total for the season up to 19 goals across all competitions.
Speaking about his award, Harris said: "Absolutely delighted to win this award. It was a great month for me and the team as we managed to get over the line and into the play-offs.
“Personally, it's always nice to get the goals when it matters at the business end of the season and I want to take that form into the upcoming semi-finals, and hopefully a final.
"I said at the start of the season that I want to hit 20 goals and I'm one off, so hopefully I can reach that target to help us get to Wembley.
“The main thing is the team, and we are all looking forward to some massive games against Peterborough and we are all desperate to make it to Wembley and then the Championship."
Congratulations to Mark Harris on behalf of everyone at Oxford United.
