Oxford United U18s look to bounce back after a disappointing result in the week as they turn their focus to the Merit League One opener against in-form Leyton Orient.
The U’s qualified for the Merit League One by finishing in the top 5 of their Youth Alliance League and will start their campaign this Saturday against Leyton Orient at the Bangkok Glass Training Centre (11am).
After a tight 3-2 loss against Millwall on Wednesday, the young U’s will need to bounce back quickly as they face a Leyton Orient side who are unbeaten in seven and have just come off an impressive 4-0 win against Swindon Town.
Coach Pablo Haysham said: “Wednesday was a tough result to take, but there were lots of positives from the game that we need to take into Saturday. We can’t dwell on the result as Leyton Orient are a strong side and have shown that in recent weeks. It’s a quick turnaround, but I’m confident that the boys will be ready for Saturday as we look to start the Merit League strongly.”
