Oxford United U18s welcome Millwall to the Bangkok Glass Training Centre on Wednesday 6th March in a semi-final clash in the U18 Professional Development League Cup (1PM).
Both teams are unbeaten so far in the tournament having won their group stage games, with Millwall winning all four and scoring 16 goals, the most by any team in the tournament.
The young U’s were very impressive in the quarter-finals, beating Burnley 2-1 away and will want to continue their excellent defensive record in the tournament so far, conceding only twice in four games.
The U’s will be coming into this game off the back of a 3-game winning streak but haven’t played in a couple weeks now due to last Saturdays game getting called off.
Coach Pablo Haysham said: “Wednesday is a big game for us, beating Burnley was a great achievement from the boys, but Millwall are a very good side and have shown that so far in the tournament. It will be a great challenge for us, but one that I feel we are ready for and are looking forward to.”
The winners of this game will take on either Swansea or Watford in the final of the cup.
