Oxford United are delighted to share details of the club’s new Fan Engagement Plan.
The comprehensive engagement strategy demonstrates the club’s commitment to adopting best practice and developing the relationship between Oxford United and our loyal supporters.
Following a comprehensive review of current policies and practices, the plan outlines the club’s vision and objectives to enhance fan engagement via numerous touchpoints and channels.
Oxford United believe the strategy, based on advice from the Football Supporters’ Association and following consultation with both the Oxford United Supporters’ Panel and OxVox, will provide a long-term structure for both the club and the fans in delivering a more productive and positive supporter experience.
In line with the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard, a key part of the plan is the proposed formation of a Fan Advisory Board (FAB). Oxford United are committed to consulting and engaging with fans on key issues such as the overall strategic vision of the club, matchday experience, and ticketing.
The FAB would enable the club to strengthen and formalise dialogue with supporters, as well as to leverage their knowledge, experience, insights and opinions as we work together to shape our future.
Prior to launching the FAB, the club would welcome feedback from supporters to ensure your input has been considered. Supporters can access the full plan HERE, where you’ll find details regarding the structure of the FAB. Terms of Reference for the proposed FAB can be found HERE.
Please email reply@oufc.co.uk with any comments or questions.
The club also remain in dialogue with both OUSP and OxVox regarding this proposal. We recognise and are proud of the existing relationships that we have with different fan led groups. The purpose of the FAB is not to replace such relationships, but to work in co-operation with existing arrangements on club-wide matters.
The launch of the Fan Engagement Plan will also see the club identify and recruit a full-time Supporter Liaison Officer to be the daily point of contact for fan queries, suggestions, feedback, and complaints.
Tim Williams, Oxford United’s Chief Executive Officer, said: "I’m really pleased to be able to share details of our new fan engagement plan.
“We want to lead the way with meaningful dialogue with our fans and believe this is a significant step forward in how we achieve that. A lot of hard work has taken place behind the scenes to get us to this point, and I’d like to thank the Football Supporters’ Association, OUSP and OxVox for their support thus far.”
The Fan Engagement Plan will be reviewed on an annual basis.
