Oxford United U18s travelled to Portsmouth on Saturday in the EFL Youth Alliance South-West Division and came away with all three points thanks to a Jack Lee goal.
Coach Pablo Haysham said:
"It was a positive start to the year for a young group. We defended well early on and Monty in goal made a couple of good saves.
"We grew into the game and had some chances in the first half as we controlled the game. We started the second half positively and got ahead through Jack Lee, with Louis Griffiths getting the assist.
"The boys then defended well as a team for the last 20 minutes to hold onto the clean sheet and pick up a fantastic win."
