A second-half goal from Leo Snowden was enough for Oxford United's under-18s to take the points against Bristol Rovers at the Bangkok Glass Training Centre on Saturday.
Knowing that victory would take the winners into the Merit League 1 for the second part of the season, the two sides fought out an entertaining and evenly matched contest, with the score at the break 0-0.
Ten minutes into the second half, Snowden scored the game's only goal to make it three successive wins in the league and ensure the U's would play in the higher league.
Coach Pablo Haysham said afterwards: "Following the cup win at Burnley, this makes it an excellent week for the boys, who are all absolutely buzzing. It's a great reward for the hard work the lads have put in and everyone's looking forward to the remainder of the season."
