Oxford United’s Under 19s take on local rivals Swindon Town this afternoon in the EFL Youth Alliance.
The Young U’s travel down the A420 to take on the Robins at midday looking to build on a 0-0 draw with Plymouth at the weekend.
That game saw a number of under 15s step up into the 19s set up including midfielder Josh Holton and forwards Louis Griffiths and Leo Snowden with several regular youth team players out on loan- Zaide Took-Oxley and Richard McIntyre at Salisbury, Max Smith at Kidlington, and Monty Marriott called up as a sub for the First Team against Reading.
“Saturday was good experience for the younger players” Coach Pablo Haysham told us “and now we have a local derby to look forward to. We’ll have a side that mixes some of the younger players with the older scholars again but it’s one we are really looking forward to.”
