Tyler Goodrham Nominated for Goal of the Month

Oxford United’s Tyler Goodrham has been nominated for The August Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month Award

Tyler’s tremendous first goal in the home game against Charlton capped an excellent month for both the player and the team with Liam Manning receiving the L1 Manager of the Month award earlier today.

Tyler is shortlisted for the League award with the winner being decided by votes cast on EFL.com

The nominations (with the judges’ comments) are

Tyler Goodrham – OXFORD UNITED v Charlton Athletic – 26th August
Taking down a high clearance on his instep in the centre circle, Goodrham had no thought except to take on a Charlton player, jink inside, dribble and fire in a fierce shot from 20 yards.

Owen Moxon – CARLISLE UNITED v Fleetwood Town – 5th August
Just 36 minutes into their first game following promotion, Carlisle were awarded a free-kick 30 yards out. Up stepped their local-born hero to find the top corner with power and precision.

Callum McManaman – WIGAN ATHLETIC v Northampton Town – 12th August
Two Northampton defenders had McManaman covered when he picked up the ball on the left. They reckoned without the pace at which he cut inside and unleashed a delicious curler.

Reeco Hackett – Northampton Town v LINCOLN CITY – 15th August
Northampton keeper Max Thompson was poised for any shot that Hackett might unleash. Any shot that is, other than an instant fizzing half-volley off the outside of his left foot.

Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal on EFL.com before 5pm on Monday 11 September.

The supporters' votes will be combined with the choices from a panel to determine the winners.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman & David Prutton.
