PREVIEW Oxford United v Bristol Rovers

Oxford United welcome Bristol Rovers to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday in Sky Bet League 1 (12.30pm)

TEAM NEWS
United scored three goals for the fourth game in a row as they beat Shrewsbury on Tuesday evening with defenders now having scored the last six goals for the U's.

"It doesn't matter who scores them" midfielder Cameron Brannagan told us. "The forwards contribute when we get a clean sheet, the defenders chip in with their share of goals; we have a great team spirit and we all want to play a part in some way or another.

"Bristol will be another good test for us. We've had some good games against them and there is always a good atmosphere. Our fans have been amazing all season and we will need them again on Saturday."

With no new injuries after midweek United are likely to name an unchanged squad with Kyle Edwards and Marcus Browne still missing through injury.

THE OPPOSITION
Joey Barton’s Rovers beat Port Vale 3-0 in midweek, a third win in four games to move them up to 11th

“You look at the quality of player we put on the pitch Tuesday night and you only have to look at the results and the performance” Barton said.”We’ve got a good squad, a good group and it’s at times like this where you know the depth is absolutely valuable if you want to have a successful season."

Centre forward John Marquis will be absent after breaking his hand but United will have to overturn their recent record against the Gas who have won seven of their last 10 games in Oxford.
