Oxford United look to continue their excellent form as they travel to Wigan Athletic in Sky Bet League 1 on Tuesday evening (7.45pm)
A draw at home to Blackpool on Saturday made it six league games unbeaten for Liam Manning’s side and as he told iFollow, Tuesday is a chance to keep their recent run going against a strong Wigan side.
“I thought the first half against Blackpool was one of our best of the season” he said. “We were in control, we weren't threatened very often and we were comfortable. I thought it was the same for the first 15 minutes of the second half too, really.
"But we let Blackpool back into it and couldn’t quite hold on to our lead. We are still in a good place though and we get a chance to get back out there pretty quickly now.
“Wigan have had a few things to deal with off the pitch but hopefully those things are behind them. They have a good side and it's going to be a good test for us again. But I am really happy with the energy around the place this morning. There is a lot of positivity here and we will go to Wigan looking for another good result.”
