Oxford United Boss Liam Manning will be in the dug-out on Tuesday night at Lincoln despite being shown a red card during Saturday’s draw with Wycombe Wanderers.
“As it stands we are still waiting to hear from the FA to see what I am reported to have said,” he told iFollow earlier today. “Emotions were high during the game but I know what I said and I know I have heard a lot worse on the sidelines during my time as a Manager, so to get a straight red was, for me, extremely harsh.
“But until we hear from the FA, as it stands I expect to be on the touchline on Tuesday night.”
United left it late before Cameron Brannagan’s injury-time penalty made it 2-2 on Saturday, but Liam felt there were plenty of positives as his side fought back for a point.
“I watched the game back on Saturday night and what we are looking for is for the group to keep improving and progressing.
"Compare it to Blackpool or Wigan and I thought we did a good job, after a slow first ten minutes, and I was pleased with the control we had, the areas we got into and the chances we created. It was a big step in the right direction and we want to carry that on tomorrow night.”
