Oxford United and Nuffield Health Oxford have teamed up to help support the health of the local community. At our game against Bolton on Tuesday 28th November, the UK’s largest healthcare charity is offering free blood pressure checks to all supporters attending the game next week.
This initiative is part of Nuffield Health's commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging people to care for their wellbeing.
High blood pressure is a common condition that affects many people, and it is often referred to as the 'silent killer' because it has no symptoms. If left untreated, high blood pressure can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure.
By offering free blood pressure checks to fans, Nuffield Health hopes to raise awareness of this condition and encourage people to take action to manage their blood pressure.
To take advantage of this offer, fans can simply head into the Exhibition Bar behind the South Stand prior to kick off against Bolton. Nuffield Health’s friendly and professional team will be on hand to offer free blood pressure checks, supply information about their free joint pain programme, and even have some exciting games you can take part in.
