Oxford United should be boosted by the return of Marcus Browne on Saturday when they welcome Grimsby Town to the Kassam Stadium in the Emirates FA Cup.
Marcus has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since playing in the away game at Barnsley in August but has trained all week and could be in line for a return as the U’s take on the Mariners.
“He has looked sharp and provided he gets through the next couple of days then he could play a part on Saturday” Head Coach Des Buckingham confirmed. “Ruben Rodrigues comes back after suspension as well so we have a few attacking options available”.
“We’ll just monitor Kyle Edwards who came off as a precaution on Tuesday night but as I said when I took over, the depth of the squad is good and the ability within this group is excellent. It may be that we make one or two changes on Saturday, and possibly a few more at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night in the Trophy, but the aim is always the same, to pick a team that can win the game, whatever the competition and whoever we are playing against.”
