Oxford United and Truck Festival are delighted to announce a unique 3-year partnership.
Truck Festival, held at Hill Farm in Steventon, Oxfordshire, is an annual independent music festival which was founded in 1998 and has been previously dubbed the “UK’s most warped village fete” and “the godfather of small music festivals”.
Truck Festival is a go-to home destination for the best in indie, alternative and pop - its larger-than-life village vibe has made it the new rite-of-passage for young music fans looking to dive into the bubbling scenes and spirit bursting through indie music in 2023 and beyond!
This year’s event, taking place from 20th – 23rd July, features performances from Two Door Cinema Club, Royal Blood, Alt-J, Self Esteem, Kate Nash and DMAs.
The partnership, a first of its kind in UK football, will see the club and Truck collaborate on co-branded merchandise, ticket giveaways, matchday music and joint marketing initiatives.
Oxford United’s Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, Adam Benson, commented:
“Our brands have a shared vision to showcase music and football, promote the wider Oxfordshire region and to deliver unique experiences for supporters and festival goers - this innovative partnership allows us to do just that. It also gives the club a great platform to reach new audiences."
Head of Marketing at Truck Festival, Sam Harris, said:
“Truck Festival has a long history of supporting and engaging with the local community. We’re always very proud to support local businesses, sports teams, schools and charities. With this in mind, we’re excited to become Oxford United’s Official Festival Partner and continue to engage the Oxfordshire community in a new space.”
