PREVIEW: Oxford Welcome Swansea

Oxford United welcome Swansea City to the Kassam Stadium tonight for our first home pre-season friendly of the summer.

It's a chance for the U's to test themselves against Championship opposition and with reduced ticket prices it's a first opportunity for many fans to see Liam Manning's new-look side in action.

TEAM NEWS
United have given everyone equal time on the pitch in their three friendlies so far, wins over Southampton B and Barnet and then a draw at Eastleigh on Tuesday night.

Simon Eastwood is the only exception but he has recovered from a calf injury and will play at Bristol City in a BCD friendly tomorrow with James Beadle in line for a first start at the Kassam tonight after joining on loan from Brighton.

Fellow new boys Fin Stevens, Jordan Thorniley, Josh McEachran, Ruben Rodrigues and Mark Harris are all likely to feature tonight but Marcus McGuane is more likely to play the following Saturday when we welcome QPR for another friendly.

THE OPPOSITION
Michael Duff has brought in three new faces to strengthen the Swans this summer. Former Blackpool striker Jerry Yates, Hearts forward Josh Ginnelly and versatile former Exeter defender Josh Key have all made the move to the Swans although former U’s loanee Kyle Joseph has moved on to Blackpool over the summer.

The Swans have s been impressive in pre-season so far with 5-0 victories over League 2 sides Newport and Swindon Town plus a 0-0 draw with Danish club Brondby.

Our Guest of Honour tonight Jeremy Charles is a legend at both clubs
