PREVIEW Oxford United Welcome QPR

Oxford United welcome QPR to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday (3pm) for the final pre-season friendly of the summer.

The U's have been in good form throughout the summer and get a chance to put the final touches to their preparations ahead of the season opener at Cambridge next weekend.

TEAM NEWS
New boy Stanley Mills stands by for a first appearance after joining on loan from Everton on Thursday.

He joins fellow new boys James Beadle, Fin Stevens, Jordan Thorniley, Josh McEachran, Ruben Rodrigues and Mark Harris in Liam Manning's new-look squad with everyone pushing for a starting place when the league games come along.

James Henry is well again after illness ruled him out of last week's games while Marcus McGuane made his return at Bristol City after a slight back problem.

"We have just about everyone fit" Liam Manning told us. "At this stage of pre-season there are always one or two knocks and slight concerns and we won't risk anyone if that is the case but the lads have been excellent all the way through pre-season and we want to finish it with another positive performance."

THE OPPOSITION
QPR Boss Gareth Ainsworth saw his team beat Reading 2-0 on Tuesday and is pleased with how his team are shaping up ahead of their Championship season.

“Pre-season is really on track and I am pleased with where we are. We have to mix things up because I thought last season we were very predictable to play against. Teams knew how to beat us. It’s important to me that we have different styles and different ways of playing.”
