Oxford United will look to build on last weekend's win at Fleetwood when they welcome Ipswich Town to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday (3pm)
A 2-1 win at Highbury boosted the U’s after a battling performance at home to Arsenal in the FA Cup and midfielder Marcus McGuane is hoping they can now make it back to back League wins when they welcome the Tractor Boys in Sky Bet League 1.
“The win was all that mattered at Fleetwood” he says in this week’s iFollow Preview Show. ”It is always a difficult place and with the weather conditions it was very tough but the boys all stuck together, we listened to the game plan and dug in really deep. Kyle Joseph did really well and him coming back from injury is a massive boost for us and then you could see how happy we were for Ciaron to score the winner.
“It was a massive result for us and hopefully we can use that momentum now on Saturday.
“Ipswich have done really well, the league table shows you that, and the last time we played them they played really well and made it hard for us. But hopefully this time we can change that and get the better of them. We have been training hard this week and been planning for this game.
“The big crowd will help us. The fans were great against Arsenal and will turn up in big numbers again I’m sure. We really appreciate that and it does bring that 12th Man to the match so we are really looking forward to it now.
“Any game we go in to we focus on our own game and we know what we can do so with that crowd behind us we will stick to the plan again and hopefully come away with another three points.”
