Oxford United Women are delighted to announce the signing of Kate Wiseman and Hayley Hoare for the 2023/24 campaign.
Both new arrivals have been training with the squad over the last few weeks, and having impressed in pre-season, have joined the club for the upcoming season.
21-year-old full-back Hayley Hoare joins the U’s having played for Coventry United (now Rugby Borough) in the Championship last season and has also represented Wales at youth European Championships.
Hayley told OUFC.co.uk “I’ve seen the environment at the club, and it's just a great journey to be a part of. I can see where the club is going and I’m really excited for the future”
Kate Wiseman, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder, has spent the last 5 years studying at and playing football for the University of North Alabama, having previously played in the youth set ups at both Southampton and England.
Kate, when speaking to OUFC.co.uk, said “I can’t wait for the season to start and begin playing those important games. I’m looking forward to play the style that Oxford do and start building relationships on the pitch.
Manager Liam Gilbert told OUFC.co.uk “It’s great to have Hayley and Kate on board and they add more young talent to an already exciting side. They’ve done well settling in and have worked hard during pre-season to adapt to our system.
Both Kate and Hayley will be in pre-season action as the U’s travel to local rivals Swindon Town Women this Sunday 6th August. Kick off is at 1:30PM at Foundation Park with tickets available on the gate via cash or card.
