Oxford United Academy are currently recruiting for a new Head of Education.
Based at the Training Ground, the role involves Scholarship Administration and the club’s Scholarship Education Programme.
The successful applicant will need to deliver a quality curriculum-linked education programme at OUFC, organise educational visit programmes and visit schools and colleges. They will also need to produce high-quality differentiated work materials and resource packs for teachers and pupils of all ages and abilities, and manage and control the budget and finance generation of the education scheme.
Among the skills required are:
- Ability to work in a high-pressured, elite-performance environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of precision and reliability.
- Willingness to contribute to wider aspects of Academy life, with a sense of adaptability and co-operation.
- High character individual who will represent the values of the club at all times.
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required by the role.
Essential qualifications include
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS)
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Satisfactory Enhanced CRB Disclosure
- A knowledge of FA regulations in regard to youth team football / academies and experience of working within the football industry would be preferable
