Ciaron Brown and Carly Johns were the stars of the evening as they both won two awards at the club’s annual awards night at Oxford Town Hall.
Brown was the overwhelming winner of both the AP Harding Painting & Decorating and Aspire Scaffolding Men’s Players’ Player of the Year sponsored by Textures Flooring and the Andrew Knapton Supporters Player of the Year sponsored by AP Harding Painting & Decorating and Aspire Scaffolding while Johns was presented with the Legends International Golden Boot and the Women's Supporters' Player of the Year Award, sponsored by Grundon.
The event, sponsored AP Harding Painting & Decorating and Aspire Scaffolding was attended by around 300 people and hosted by TV and Radio star Mark Clemmit who was joined by Special Guest Ray Houghton, one of the stars of the 1986 Milk Cup winning side at Wembley.
Guests enjoyed a three course dinner while hearing from all of the winners as well as Q & A interviews with Men’s Head Coach Liam Manning, Women’s Manager Liam Gilbert and Academy Manager Stevie Kinniburgh.
The first award was the Jack Casley Young Player of the Year Award sponsored by Smiths Bletchington. The winner was GATLIN O’DONKOR
The Men's and Women's Golden Boot award, sponsored by Legends International, went to CAMERON BRANNAGAN and CARLY JOHNS
The Community Player of the Year sponsored by JBP was won by KYLE JOSEPH for his outstanding contribution to the club’s community work this season.
The Micky Lewis Club Person of the Year Award, sponsored by MKM Building Supplies, was won by Head of Medical AMY CRANSTON who has raised thousands of pounds for Helen & Douglas House through a skydive and by running the London Marathon on their behalf.
The Wellers Goal of the Season for the Men and Women were decided on the night and went to TYLER GOODRHAM for his goal at Forest Green yesterday and DAISY MCLACHLAN for her superb goal against London Bees.
The Women's Supporters' Player of the Year Award, sponsored by Grundon was won by CARLY JOHNS while the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year sponsored by Textures Flooring and the Andrew Knapton Supporters Player of the Year sponsored by AP Harding Painting & Decorating and Aspire Scaffolding were both won by CIARON BROWN
