PREVIEW Oxford United v MK Dons

Oxford United welcome MK Dons to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday in Sky Bet League 1 (3pm)

The game, along with all EFL matches on Saturday, will go ahead and the two clubs will do their best to reflect the period of mourning that the nation is currently going through.

Flags will be flown at half mast, both teams will wear black armbands and we ask everyone present to observe a minute’s silence ahead of kick-off. This will be followed by the National Anthem.

TEAM NEWS
Deadline Day signing Djavan Anderson made his debut at Plymouth on Tuesday after his work permit came through earlier in the day. The Dutch wing back will be hoping for a full debut while midfielder Cameron Brannagan reaches a personal milestone with his 200th appearance for the U's.

Steve Seddon made his comeback after injury on Tuesday while Sam Baldock and Josh Murphy are making good progress and, with United without a game next Saturday due to Fleetwood's international call ups, both could be involved for the next league game, away at Charlton in two weeks' time.

THE OPPOSITION
MK Dons boss Liam Manning saw his side slip to 22nd in the early table after a 2-0 defeat at Bolton in midweek.

"We are in a fight, a scrap and ultimately what we have to do is stick together, own your individual performance and step up” he said.

"Momentum is massive in football. We speak a lot around it and I feel for the staff a little bit because it's a huge amount of work for the staff to try and give as much information as possible. The prep, the plans, the work in training, the detail that the staff go in to, but then it's about executing and doing your job.

“Confidence with the lads is understandably low because we have not been playing as we want to and not been getting the results we want to. With some of them, there's an edge to how they've played. That brings attention to it and that leads to sometimes a rashness, so it was hugely disappointing".
