Oxford United Women host Billericay Town Ladies this weekend.
The U’s will face the newly promoted Essex-based side at Court Place Farm, this Sunday the 18th of September.Kick-off is at 2 PM and tickets will be priced at £6 for adults, £3 for concessions, and free for U16s.
A minute’s silence will be observed before kick-off out of respect for the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The squad trained on Sunday instead of playing their league cup fixture against AFC Bournemouth Women, which was postponed.
“We’ve been flying at the moment, the season is going to plan, the girls have worked exceptionally hard and they’ve deserved everything they’ve got so far. We’ve worked hard training over this little break to try and keep the momentum going” said Assistant Manager Chez Williams
The U’s will be familiar with Billericay Town, having played them in the Women’s FA Cup for the past two seasons. The Yellows came out victorious both times, winning against the Blues 3-1 last year.
Billericay will come into their game having secured their first three points of the season. After losing their opening three games to London Bees, Cheltenham, and Ipswich, Billericay picked up a 2-1 win away at Milton Keynes Dons despite having a player sent off last time out.
“They’ll be ready to go no doubt having had a big confidence boost. But with us having a break hopefully, we are raring to go as well. Everybody is really up for it at the start of the season, there’s still so much to play for. Most clubs will still have places to fight for, which is the same for us, so we’ll be ready to go come Sunday” added Chez.
The U’s will look to make it five wins out of five to carry on their perfect start to the season. See you Sunday.
