Oxford United make the long journey south to take on Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).
The U’s have been in good form despite being without key players in recent weeks but Boss Karl Robinson is delighted with the way his side have pulled together during that time:
“I’m sure their Manager will be saying it’s a good time to be playing Oxford because of our injury situation. That’s fine, we feel we are in a good place right now despite those absences. We have won three in a row, scored nine goals in those games and we scored another four in the first half of a friendly on Saturday that kept us ticking over. We did that for the right reasons, to prepare for two big games this week.
“So we are going well and those missing players are getting closer and closer to coming back into the side now; Matty Taylor, Elliott Moore, Sam Baldock and Josh Murphy are going well and we hope Djavan Anderson’s work permit won’t be too far away.
“With or without those players it’s a long trip and a difficult game for us, it always is, but we have been working hard and we are very positive.
“Every game is difficult and when you have this amount of players out then the strength in depth to change things from the bench becomes difficult, whether that’s to try and win a game or to see it out to change a gameplan
“But the players have put their pride to one side and done whatever was needed to get results. The attention to detail is superb and they give absolutely everything every day. I am so happy coming in here every day to work alongside them and they make my job easy because of their dedication to their jobs and to this club.”
