Oxford United were saddened to hear of the death of former goalkeeper Kevin Thomas on Sunday, aged 78.
Kevin joined United from Tranmere Rovers in July 1971, having previously been on the books of Prescott Cables and Blackpool.
He didn’t make his Oxford debut until 3rd March 1973, in a 1-0 defeat at Sunderland. He made six appearances for the club, keeping one clean sheet, including an Anglo-Italian Cup tie against Torino at the Manor.
He moved to Southport in 1974 and later featured for Barrow.
We pass on our condolences to Kevin’s family and friends.
