A Cameron Brannagan goal gave Oxford United a point at Shrewsbury last night.
“It wasn’t the prettiest performance” the midfielder told iFollow “but we’ll take a point and then hopefully take that in to Saturday and get a win to go with it.
"We are disappointed because we wanted to take all three tonight but it’s a tough place to come; Shrewsbury are aggressive and really good at what they do so we always knew this was going to be a tough game. We had a couple of chances near the end but so did they and Easty made some great saves.
“I think a point apiece was probably fair in the end”.
Cameron has now scored eight goals this season from midfield:
“I want to be involved all the time and I practise finishing all the time. If the ball is there around the box then I will keep trying to get in there and get on it.
“All I want is to help the team and if that is through scoring goals then great. It’s all about getting as many points as we can and the more goals we score the more it helps achieve that.
“We need to turn this point and little run into a home win on Saturday now. Keep building. We have come away with a point, that was the most important thing tonight so we take that and we move on to Saturday.”
