Oxford United Women's Development Squad will face Kidlington Youth Ladies in the first round of the Oxfordshire County Cup on Sunday at Court Place Farm.
Tickets will be priced at £3 for adults and concessions, and FREE for U16s.
The U’s are giving their high-flying development squad the chance to play in front of Oxford fans with the Development Squad currently sitting top of the Reserve South East and Central Division, having won six out of their opening seven games.
First Team Manager Liam Gilbert knows how good of an opportunity this will be for the younger players.
“George (Anthony) is doing a great job with the Development team. We have some exciting players coming through, some have already started playing for the first team, and it gives fans the chance to come and see what they’re all about. Now they’re going to go and play against a senior team which will be a great challenge for them,” said Gilbert.
Development Squad Manager George Anthony is excited for the tie:
“We’ve been playing some really good football and it’s going to be great for the squad to get a taste of a first team game at Court Place Farm. We want to show Oxford fans that the future is bright for OUWFC and we know that the squad are well up for it. A taste of senior football is something that all these players ultimately have as their goal so it should be a great game,” said Anthony.
