Oxford United know they face a tough test when they travel to Woking in the Emirates FA Cup First Round on Wednesday night.
“It’s a tough place and their record there is excellent” Boss Karl Robinson told iFollow.
“They have won every game other than one they drew so we know it will be a difficult challenge and we aren’t under any illusions. We are performing OK at the moment but in cup competitions of late we have been poor - Sutton and Chelsea for example but we know that and will get the balance right.
“Woking will give us a good game. We will have to be at our best and conditions will be hard with the rain falling today and tomorrow.
“We went to Woking a couple of seasons ago in pre-season so we know how well organised the club is and how hard it is to play there. We have to compete and we know they have some very good players, some of whom have played a lot of league football.
“But we feel we are making good progress ourselves at the moment. There are some strong partnerships starting to appear in big areas, players are getting sharper and we think our fluidity is starting to come back. We have to make sure that continues on Wednesday night”
