PREVIEW Portsmouth v Oxford United

Oxford United travel to Portsmouth tonight in Sky Bet League 1

TEAM NEWS
United will be without skipper Elliott Moore for the next four weeks or so after a scan revealed the extent of an ankle injury. Moore missed the win over Cambridge on Saturday with Matty Taylor given the armband as a small tribute to another local boy, Joey Beauchamp.

United reverted to a four man defence for that game but had also has success with three at the back in the previous two games and Ciaron Brown, on loan from Cardiff, could come into the equation if Karl Robinson switches shape again.

Marcus Browne and James Henry both made cameo appearances from the bench on Saturday after injuries.

THE OPPOSITION

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley has selection problems with Shaun Williams (back), Kieron Freeman (ankle), and Michael Jacobs (knee) all sidelined and Ronan Curtis suspended.

"We've got a small squad but we've got to work through it. That's what we've done all season. It's been a challenge all season but we will continue to work through it.” he said. "We want to focus on the positives and put the energy into the players we do have available. We’re going to have a young bench tomorrow evening, probably the youngest bench we’ve had this season. We don’t see the negative in that, we just see the opportunity.

"We are looking forward to those young players thriving in the situation and making the most of it."
