Oxford United Women play their second home game in quick succession when they welcome Hounslow to Court Place Farm this evening, with a chance to go top of the National League table for the first time this season.
A fine win over Crawley Wasps on Sunday made it nine wins in a row for the U’s who are now just two points behind Ipswich Town with tonight’s match their game in hand.
“It’s been an incredible run” manager Liam Gilbert told us. “We just seem to have gathered momentum and the confidence is really high at the moment. We started strongly on Sunday and had a good tempo right from the start. We have to try and do that again this evening and if we do the right things early in the game then we know we have goals in us.
“There’s no extra pressure. Putting in another good performance is the aim tonight, going top would be a bonus. There’s a long way to go and all we can do is focus on ourselves and the league table will take care of itself.”
Tickets are available on the gate: £5 adults, £3 concessions, U16s Free.
