Oxford United will join with Level Playing Field on Saturday to continue to showcase the good work being done by clubs and organisations to improve accessibility and inclusion for disabled fans.
To support the campaign the club are working with Level Playing Field to help spread the word on what they do, what their aims are to improve accessibility and inclusion, and how they can assist disabled fans.
Level Playing Field supports disabled sports fans through its membership and a variety of active initiatives.
Paul Scaysbrook is Chairman of the Oxford United Supporters Panel and attends United’s games home and away as a wheelchair user.
“I’ve been going to see United since the early 80s” he tells this week’s Preview Show. “I started using a wheelchair for games at the Manor and it was difficult; at a lot of grounds disabled fans were almost an afterthought.
“Over the years it has improved enormously, although there is still work to be done. Oxford are really inclusive in everything they do but days like Saturday just help highlight the work that Level Playing Field continue to do.”
Oxford United are committed to ensuring that all supporters, regardless of their physical needs, are able to attend and watch games in comfort.
