Oxford United head for Plymouth Argyle on Saturday ready to test themselves against another of League 1’s in-form sides.
The two sides are part of a group of teams still chasing the play-offs but after a blank weekend Karl Robinson told iFollow today that his side are rested and ready to go…
“Everyone has had their little rest, recovered properly and they are ready to perform” he said.
“We have the lads back from international duty, James Henry is back, Elliott Moore is available again. So we have some decisions to make with our squad and who travels but they have all been magnificent and whatever the next four weeks hold, and it will be a roller coaster, we won’t change.
"We are the same people whether we win lose or draw, we are proud to play for this club and we want to play big games week in week out.
“I’d much rather have our run in than against teams who people say have nothing to play for. I want big stages and big games. If you are going to go in to the play-offs then earn it playing against teams around you like Plymouth, Sunderland and MK.
"We will be ready for those games and we will be ready for the play-offs if we get there against any of those teams again or Sheffield Wednesday, Wycombe, Ipswich or any other team who are in the hunt with us.
“It’s brilliant to be in the chase still and we will go to Plymouth and give it a real go.
“I know the Plymouth Manager well and know they are a very good side who are really well coached. They have amazing support in that area and we will take a sold out away end so it should be a fantastic atmosphere and hopefully a day for all of us to relish.”
