Oxford United would like to wish Luke McNally well as he leaves the club to join Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
Luke made 35 appearances for the U’s after joining from St Patrick’s Athletic in January 2021.
Karl Robinson told us
“Luke had been a credit to himself and his family. It’s not always easy to make the adjustment from part time football to playing and training every day but he made that step up very quickly and I think the fans could all see the potential he has. Burnley are a terrific club and we wish him well.”
Luke told us
“I want to thank everyone associated with Oxford because I have loved my time there. It was a big thing for me to move over and to be away from home for the first time but everyone looked after me and made me feel part of the club straight away.
"A lot of that comes from the Gaffer, staff and players who have been brilliant with me, but I also want to thank the fans who have been unbelievable.
“I’m looking forward to being a Burnley player, that’s really exciting, but Oxford are in great shape as a football club and I am sure they are going to have an excellent season.”
