Oxford United’s Under 18s came out on top in a thrilling 4-3 win over QPR on Saturday morning in their latest pre-season friendly.
Two goals from Gatlin O’Donkor plus strikes from Enrique Tiamuna and new scholar Tobias Brenan saw the U’s beat the R’s at the Bangkok Glass Training Centre.
The U’s were 2-0 down half-way through the first half but pulled a goal back before the break and then made it 2-2 before conceding a third. However, two late goals gave them a win, as Coach Pablo Haysham told us:
“It will take a while for things to settle down and for the team to find a rhythm, but they showed a bit of character and a winning mentality which is a big part of the game.”
