Polythene UK Continue as Back of Shirt Sponsor

Oxford United are delighted to announce Polythene UK Ltd has extended their partnership with the U’s for the upcoming campaign, continuing their back of shirt sponsorship for another season.

Having entered their second decade as United’s back of shirt sponsor, the Witney-based packaging company’s logo will feature on the Men’s First Team and Academy shirts, as well as the retail shirts for the 2022/23 season.

For those who are not so familiar with our longstanding partner, Polythene UK offer products across a range of categories including pallet covers, polythene bags, stretch wrap films and polythene films, to name a few.

Established in Witney in 2007, Polythene UK quickly made its name as the country’s leading independent supplier of polythene products. In early 2013, the company moved to new premises specifically designed to be carbon neutral and equipped with a high-tech renewable energy system. Then Prime Minister David Cameron officially opened the new building in May 2013.

Speaking on the continuation of this partnership, Managing Director Niall McWilliams said, “We’re all delighted to be building on our well-established, 12-year relationship with Polythene UK. We thank them for continuing their back of shirt sponsorship for another season that anticipates being another exciting campaign in Sky Bet League One”.

Polythene UK’s Managing Director, James Woollard told us, “We’re pleased to continue our support of Oxford United for the upcoming season. Over the last 12 years, we have experienced some fantastic achievements both on and off the pitch at the club.

“Having extended our sponsorship package with the club, we look forward to watching the progression of Karl and the team this season, where we hope to be a part of some more great footballing moments with Oxford United”.

The announcement comes shortly after the U’s revealed the 2022/23 home kit will be unveiled at tomorrow’s pre-season home friendly with Coventry City.

If you haven’t purchased your tickets and want to be amongst the first people to see the new home kit in person, it’s not too late to secure your seats for Saturday.

Priced at £10 for adults and £5 for all concessions, you can get your hands on tickets in one of three ways:
