Matty Taylor's 13th and 14th goals of the season gave Oxford United a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
"It was a an entertaining one for the fans" top scorer Taylor told iFollow.
"I thought Sheffield Wednesday were a really good side, one of the best we have played here this season. They were physical and had quality all over the pitch and they started like a house on fire and deserved their goal.
"But then we came back into it. We rode our luck at times and hung in there; we could have gone two or three down but had a little bit of luck. But when you stay in the game like that you will get a chance. The first goal came at the right time and we regrouped while they were probably thinking ‘how is it 1-1?’ at half time.
"We went again in the second half but the same thing happened really. The difference that time was that our goal in response came a bit quicker! That was a kick in the teeth for them and meant we believed in ourselves even more.
"We alway finish strongly here and it was an unbelievable header from Sam Winnall to win the game and leave us buzzing in the dressing room. Credit to Sam, he has scored a hatful of goals throughout his career. If you hang any ball up he is always a real threat for those and he times his runs perfectly. Job done then and we saw it through.
"I realised as I was walking off actually that it was my 50th goal for the club. I’m delighted with that but hopefully there are a few more to come.
"It was a proper game of football in a proper atmosphere. I thought it was a good game, there were lots of goals and a home win means the fans go home happy, as we will.”
